When you turn on the 88th edition of the MLB All-Star Game Tuesday, July 11, hosted at Marlins Park, this season you will see three and maybe a fourth member of the Boston Red Sox.

On Sunday evening, it was announced that Red Sox right fielder Mookie Betts, closer Craig Kimbrel and starting pitcher Chris Sale will represent Boston in Miami next week. Shortstop Xander Bogaerts will enter the final vote, which ends Thursday, July 6, at 4 p.m.

As for Betts, he will be making his second trip to the All-Star game, and will serve as a reserve outfielder.

Sale has made every Midsummer Classic since 2012, so this will mark his sixth appearance for the American League strikeout leader.

Kimbrel will also be making his sixth journey, second of which has come in the AL.

If Bogaerts is to best Elvis Andrus, Didi Gregorius, Mike Moustakas and Logan Morrison, he will suite up for the AL for the second time.

The Red Sox have already teamed up with the Chicago Cubs, who have Kris Bryant in the NL final vote, to send he and Bogaerts to the Sunshine State.

As for snubs, there aren’t any from a Boston perspective.
