UMass sophomore guard Luwane Pipkins scored a career-high 34 to lift the team to a 101-76 win in Sunday’s game against Niagara.
Pipkins was 12 of 18 from the floor and a perfect 3 of 3 from the free throw line. 21 of his 34 points came from the 3-point line.
Niagara struggled to execute from the 3-point line, shooting just 4 for 16. Matt Scott led the Purple Eagles with 26 points.
The Minutemen ended the first half with an 18-point lead. They were able to sustain a comfortable lead until the final whistle.
Next up for UMass is West Carolina (1-3) on Tuesday at 7 p.m.
