Five points in the final 23 seconds from senior guard Erin Johnson propelled Boston University to a 90-73 win over Bethune-Cookman on Friday.
With the Terriers down by one, Johnson knocked down a 3-pointer, pushing BU up, 88-86.
On the ensuing Wildcats possession, Isaiah Bailey would come up empty on a trey, but Ulmer Manzie was there for the offensive rebound, which he drew a foul corralling down.
Fortunately for BU, Manzie found sink one of two attempts, as it clung to a 88-87 lead.
Off the Terriers inbound pass, Johnson was fouled and he connected on both shots from the charity stripe, and BU hung on for the win.
Nick Hanever led the Terriers with a 17 points and Max Mahoney chipped in 16.
BU is off until Wednesday when it visits UMass Lowell (5-5) at 5 p.m.
