The look on Duke’s Grayson Allen’s face after the game was one of shock and disbelief as the Boston College, behind a splendid performance from Ky Bowman, knocked off previously undefeated and the No. 1 ranked Blue Devils, 89-84, on Saturday.

|BC (7-3, 1-0)||48||41||89|
After trialing by as much as 10 in the second half, Duke would come storming back and led 79-75 with 3:33 remaining. However, the Eagles would not fold.
Back-to-back Jerome Robinson 3-pointers placed BC up, 81-79, with 1:20 left.
An Allen missed jumper would be corralled by Robinson, which led to a pair of free throws by Bowman and an 83-79 BC lead with 37 ticks remaining.
Duke responded with a quick layup of its own via Trevon Duval, but it was forced to foul Jordan Chatman with 17 seconds left, and he made both attempts, all but sealing the BC win.
After a Gary Trent Jr. trey made it a one-possession game, 87-84, Robinson stepped to the charity stripe and a pair of shots, putting the nail in Duke’s coffin.
Bowman turned in an all-around complete game for BC as the sophomore guard canned a game-high 30 points, dished out a game-high nine assists and corralled 10 boards. Robinson tossed in 24 points and Chatman added 22 in the win.
BC fans took to the court after the win.
