UMass connected on 12 of 22 looks from beyond the arc in a 72-62 win over Georgia on Saturday.
Eight of the 12 makes – including a 4 of 4 showing from Carl Pierre – came in the first half as UMass led 43-24 at the intermission.
Georgia was able to slice its deficit to as little as eight in the final 11 seconds, but it was too little too late as the Minutemen held on for the victory.
UMass, which never trailed, darted out to an 8-0 lead – sparked by five points from Luwane Pipkins – just 1:42 in.
Pipikins paced the Minutemen with 17 points and Pierre added 15.
UMass looks to extend its winning streak to four when it hosts Georgia State (7-4) on Wednesday at 7 p.m.
