Report: Patriots Sign All-Pro Pass Rusher

The New England Patriots are making headlines once again with a move that they desperately needed to make signing former Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker James Harrison to a one-year deal.

NFL insider Jeff Howe reported the news within the hour.

Harrison (39) was surprisingly released by the Steelers ending his third tenure with the team.

This is the perfect example of a “low risk, high reward” signing as the Steeler’s all-time sack leader helped his team to two Super Bowl victories which includes a pick-six in Super Bowl XLIII.

The Patriots were in desperate need of help in the area of pass rushing as their lack of pressure on the quarterback contributed to them being among the worst in the NFL in total yards allowed on defense.

Harrison seems to already be right at home as Harrison took a selfie with his new quarterback Tom Brady exclaiming that he’s happy to be playing with him and also not being the oldest player on a team.

Harrison and the Patriots are looking to clinch home-field advantage throughout the playoffs against the New York Jets this Sunday at 1:00 p.m.

  1. James, from what I’ve heard you slept thru what team meetings you attended. Otherwise didn’t show up for team meetings, didn’t take the responsibility of a senior player as a mentor to the rookies. Sounds like you have little intel. To offer and your old! If your lucky, maybe Steelers will forgive you and let you retire a Steeler…maybe…
